"Spring Greening Challenge" With the National Audubon Society

Spring is officially here. And we all know what that means: spring cleaning. It's that time of year when everyone tries to tidy up after months of living indoors in near hibernation. And while many people dread having to clean up the pigsty they've been living in, Toyota is looking to change people's perceptions of the activity by joining forces with the National Audubon Society.

Why does Toyota care how clean our rooms are? Well, the company isn't specifically referring to how tidy you keep you house. Rather, they're interested in a spring cleaning of sorts for the planet. The "Spring Greening Challenge" encourages participants to conserve water, reduce energy use, and engage others to do the same.

By visiting the event's website, https://www.facebook.com/togethergreen, users can watch videos, read up on specific challenges, and click the "I Did It" button to be entered into a weekly drawing for some great prizes. What's up for grabs? 25 weekly winners will receive TogetherGreen shirts, while three grand prizes at the end of the challenge include $250, $100 and $50 gift certificates to Lowe's.

If this sounds like your kind of spring cleaning, then be sure to check the Facebook page out today. And make sure to leave DCH Toyota of Oxnard a comment letting us know how you did on the challenge.
